Background
I started running to get out of the house and for cardio health during lock down. I never expected to get here, but here were are. See you in 2025 (I’m talking to my running shoes).
2023 Vs. 2024
2023 = Total Miles = 186 | ~ 3.6 miles per week | Total Races = 1 | Countries Ran In = 2 (Japan and the USA)
2024 = Total Miles = 1066| ~ 20.5 miles per week | Total Races = 7 | Countries Ran In = 2 (Japan and the USA)
2024 Growth
I covered more miles this year than I ever dreamed of. I followed training plans and built base mileage. I ran my first 10K, Nautical Mile, Half Marathon, and Marathon. I set a new 5K PR and established times to beat in these new race distances. I learned about the commitment it takes to run. I learned I need to work on pacing and drinking from hydration stations. I learned about overdoing it and getting injured. I traveled and raced in 5 States and ate so much great food. Running humbles you. I reminded myself that I have discipline and can do hard things. Running is a great teacher and I have more to learn. Ready to take on 2025!
